G'day. My name is Ben and I'm from Sydney.

I currently own a 2008 Suzuki Swift Sport but I'm looking for a MkI gti for a weekend car. I used to own a MkIV and it was fantastic!

I'd like the 'rat' out the MkI too. I was thinking of respraying it an army green in a matte finish, rust the bonnet and a few other things. Just an idea though

    Cyas round!

Ben, Please don't paint a MK1 GTI in Matt Green, that just wouldn't be right.

Assuming that you can find a proper one.

    Welcome to the forum though.

A bit taboo to paint that classic car in that colour? I don't think I can even afford a GTI at the moment =/ I'll probably just have to get a standard three door.

Yeh and you'll wont find a cheap mk1 GTI as they weren't sold out here. And golfs look so much better when they're mint, RATTING it up is for people who are lazy (sorry but i hate the RAT look). Also army green would look wrong
