Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Word up from Sydney

    Alright guys,

    Bought a beaut of a Mk1 Cab about a month ago... with the help of Matt from Camden GTI in Campbelltown, its running like a dream. There's even potential to get the hood working again!

    I am no stranger to old VW's, my friends at home drive nothing else... i couldn't believe my luck when i found a totally rust free one over here. They no longer exist back home in England.

    No doubt a few things will go wrong here and there so at some point, i'll be calling on your collective knowledge at some point...

    Yes! Another cabby owner...
    My hood half works, down manually then goes up on the switch
    Who knows, sort it out one day.
