R36 Wagon ......can't wait for delivery!

Hi, I live in Sydney and have a R36 Wagon on order. I love my MKV Golf GTI but have an expanding family so test drove the R36 - ordered one a week later. The dealer tells me that I should have my car by late October - total wait of around 3 months. I am under the impression that VW waits until there is sufficient demand before running a "batch" of R36's. Is this true and has anyone else been given a similar time frame?

Welcome ReflexR36. Great choice. I would have bought the R36 instead of the R32 if I was replacing my Lexus. Just don't have room for two medium to large cars in the garage. What colour and options do you have? I thought there would be some R36s in the Custom Bond holding yard, but perhaps not. Anyhow, congrats and welcome on board.

Thanks for the welcome. I went for Satnav, Sunroof and tinted windows. I think it will be the perfect car for me and my family- sporty but also practical ....... at least that's how I sold it to my wife!

I went for Reflex Silver after test driving one in the same colour - I generally think silver is a boring choice but it looks great with he Chrome trim and tinted windows!

I agree ReflexR36 with your choice of colour as my Lexus is Silver with fairly dark tint to windows as well. I fitted it with aftermarket graphite colour 18x8s and it looks so good. The sunroof I reckon is a great option. I love the cabin to feel bright and airy - I'm sure you do too. Enjoy your ride mate.
