Hi all, I'm new here (I'm sure you guessed that). I have a sad tale - my beloved 1995 dual cab transporter ute was recently written off!! An elderly gentleman from down the road had some sort of turn behind the wheel and ran into the back of my dub as it stood minding it's own business outside my house.
Sadly, the insurance company has written it off (a repairable write-off), but they have at least given me the salvage. So, I've got a bent dub and $7,000 in my pocket (insurance companies - need I say more!!!!). The dub was rear ended and the chassis bent on both sides (where it meets the rear of the body/cab) and the tray damaged.
So, I'd be grateful for your thoughts on the following.
Is there anyone who you think might be interested/capable of repairing it?
If not, does anyone have a straight but tired dual cab chassis for sale (I thought I could move my running gear over).
Perhaps also, does anyone have a good dual cab chassis they want to part with for under $12,000?
