Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    hey guys n gals.

    My names Steve and I just happened to run into a bunch of vwwatercooled guys cruising from yatla BP in brisbane this morning and thought i'd drop in and see what its all about.

    Its good to know there is a VW club out there, I was having trouble finding one.

    Anyhoo, I have recently purchased a black 2006 Golf GTI 5 door and am absolutely love it. After having a couple of Audi's and a nissan s14 I think the golf is the best car by far.

    Anyhoo, I'll post up pics and more information of myself in my profile. Will be keen to come cruising some time

      Welcome mate, keep an eye on the QLD Clubs, meets and events section for any cruises or gatherings that could be happening.

        Hey Steve, I was in the Red Polo you talked to. Have a look around the forum, you'll find it pretty useful, and keep an eye out in the events section for the next cruise or monthly meet.

            The car looked great. I think you waved at me when I took this; I didn't realise you weren't with us on the cruise. You should definitely come to the next one mate.

              Thanks for the pic. I wasn't really expecting it as you can tell.

              Ended up doing a Hinze Damn run with a few of my mates after that and had a ball and fell in love with the GTI even more.

              I'll be sure to try and make it to the next cruise you guys have.
