Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thanx for the warm welcome everybody!

We have summer here now, and for a couple of weeks we had constant sun and 25-30 degrees celsius every day.
After a few days rain, we now have about 20-23c and some sun on and off.

          Maybe I should audition as a wheater-girl?

          See you!

Where abouts in Sweden are you?

I had a week in Stockholm in 2007, and absolutely loved it - cold for a few days, then spectacular for the rest of the week - I really enjoyed walking around the city and seeing the royal palace, opera house and the rest of the architecture!

That was in early August I think. Being there in the middle of winter wouldn't be much chop though - damned cold (though better in Stockholm than further north!).
            Nothing to see here...

Stockholm is really nice, Ive only been there once though.
I live in a city called Helsingborg, Sweden's sixth or seventh biggest city, the town is a harbour-city in the south of Sweden.
(The strait between Helsingborg and Denmark is only 8km wide.)

The winters in the south of Sweden is crapy, salt on the roads, rain/wet snow, windy and 0-2 degrees.
I personally enjoy taking a Ski-vacation in the winter to the north of Sweden, where the wheater normally is -5 to -10 degrees and 2 meters of powder-snow in the terrain. Great skiing...

We dont have polarbears on the streets though.....

Viem from the old castle, "Kärnan". In the horizon you can see Denmark.

Thank you! The Polo is more common in 4d here actually...
I've always been a big fan of the Ultraleggeras, but never haved them on any of my cars, so I'm saving like a squirrel to afford them to this car.

Thanx for the invitation, I actually have some family-friends in Christchurch, NZ, so maybe I'll make a pitstop in Perth when I go visit them.

welcome to our first Sweedish member!

I'm very jealous of the weather you have over there at the moment.

I've heard that Sweeden and Australia are quite similar from Sweedish friends of mine, would really like to go someday!

Yes, I think so too, the difference would maybe be our less impresive outback..
