Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Tips for taking pics

    Hi All,

Since I've been scanning through this site I have seen a fair few pleasing pictures of your cars! Despite the weather I'm donning my gumboots and going to wash and detail my car then take some photos, as it's going up for sale...

Who else's least favourite job when washing the car, is cleaning the brake dust of your rims??!! Although the way they look afterwards makes up for it!!!

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on places to take them, angles to use etc. I'm no photoshop genius so I'm hoping my photos will be good enough just as they are =D

just a suggestion for cleaning the rims, I use the high pressure spray at the auto car wash then wash the rest of the car at home

and mine get filthy just sitting there!!

        Thanks for that!

I didn't think to go onto car sales... Luckily they put this part in there,

"Please note also that the photo must be of the actual car for sale, and that manufacturer or brochure photos will not be accepted."

The ACTUAL car ohh... Close one! Not... Haha.
