Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey all,

Me and my lovely wife will hopefully be taking possesion of a Black 2009 VW TDI Comfortline 3/6/09 (this Wednesday Woot). She will be optioned with the sports pack and beige leather interior. Loved the test drive, cant wait to put some real kilometres on it!

Used to own a 1974 Golf 5 years ago in Brisbane, used it as my scuba chuggin gear wagon

Will attempt to post photos of the new toy as soon as we can.

      Well played!

I'm not sure how familiar you are with running a TDI in, but you might want to read this thread to make sure you do it properly:
We've been hearing this one for years and maybe it was partially true at one time but with today's higher tech engine fabbing and tolerances could there be any truth to the old adage that diesel engine fuel economy improves once the engine is "broken-in?" Why wouldn't a diesel auto...

There is also a fair amount of discussion about it in the Diesel section of these forums.

      Enjoy your torquey driving!
