Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Golf Gti 2002 =)

    Hey guys,
Just would like to introduce myself and my new toy.
My names Jono, and im from Newcastle. I am great mates with a fairly new member of vwwatercooled "Stotto" who drives a 95 VR6. Thanks to Ben aka stotto he has persuaded me to join the VW club

I have had my car a week now and loving every bit of it!
    so here are some pics,

    well i hope yas like!
Future plans will be putting an aftermarket head unit to get more out of the stock speakers. Pretty happy with them as they go hard for stock speakers.
and im a sucker for induction noise haha, I will eventually put a pod on, recommendations on great pods welcome was thinking either a KnN or HKS supaflow...
But the biggest mod id like to do will be a set of 19" audi A8 rims
But that’ll take time. Liking the stock look for now

    Thanks guys
    JoNo

    *EDIT* pics did not work.

Very nice pick up! I've always wondered what a GTI would look like with the lower vents body colour.

I'd steer clear of the pod and I'm personally not a fan of the A8s but all the best with the GTI and happy motoring!

Never mind that, checkout the awesome Vr in the back ground of picture 4. That’s all you need to see as well, other wise the awesomeness is to mind blowing.

But yes it’s a very nice car. I took her for a spin and was pretty impressed. Nice easy car to drive.

We will have to start cruising town in our dubs.

        Ben.

Sweet ride. I reckon I should colour code my underneathy bits too.

You'll have to come on a Sydney cruise one day. Make a pilgrimage over the Old Pacific Highway, meet us at Loftus oval, then come for a run through the Royal National Park. It's brilliant.
