Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Newbie from Coffs - Mk4 Bora 4mo

    Hey guys,
Came across this site looking for info on my new car. Recently purchased a 2003 Bora 4motion after I had my CG Lancer written off in the floods here a bit over a month ago. Its pretty much stock at the moment, apart from a K&N typhoon intake kit I put in yesterday, and done a couple of little things like smoked tail lights and indicators, but got a few plans on the way. Only got a couple of pics so far.

    My lancer ....

    Peace!

Yeah it is an upgrade.... but it was my baby lol. Was pretty attached to it but I guess its always the way with first cars... had it for 4 or 5 years and poured 15 grand into it and didnt really get me anywhere lol - the bora stock craps all over it haha

Welcome to the Bora 4mo family...

As it happens, my In-laws are up in Coffs harbour, so I might catch up some day. Look out for JVLR32 in his Uber Mk4 R32, he's up in Coffs as well.

Also, keen to know how the V6 responds to the K&N kit, I am looking at some CAI optins for mine.

        Cheers,
        Dave

Yeah JVL's car is really nice. Always loved that one. He runs a detailing business here. I tried a few places for the induction kit, and the K&N was the only one I found for it. BMC didnt have one for it, only the V5's and 1.8's. Sounds awesome. Wouldnt say theres huge gains, but definitely breathes alot better now
