Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Noobie From The Shire

    Hi All

    As of 2pm today I'll be a VW driver! Sadly I'm not getting myself into a "R" or "GTI" model... I'm getting a Caddy TDI.

    Will post some pics after I have collected it, but it's Reflex Silver (Fully colour coded) with a few typical bits & pieces that you'd expect a panel van to have.

    Was introduced to the forum by a good mate of mine ( JCM308 ) & I hope to get a few ideas to make the Caddy standout from the crowd At the moment, all I have planned is a stereo upgrade but I would like to do a few mods down the track like flash tune, suspension (Lowering), rims etc etc etc.

    Not new to the modding / car scene as my other car is a MY06 Liberty GT Wagon. Done a few mods & will hopefully have a few more done in the next month. Here's few pics just for fun (I know I know, it's Japanese ):







    Look forward to meeting some of you at drive days etc... But I'll more then likely be the token Jap car driver

    Very very nice liberty you have there! I've been trying to get my dad to mod his liberty, but to no avail

        I've finally taken some pics of the Caddy

        Went over to Option Tint in Fairfield to get the tinting done on Saturday (35% front, 4% rear). Highly recomend these guys, they did a fantasic job.

        Front End - Colour coded bumper & mirrors made a huge difference to the overall look IMO


        Rear - Just showing off the 4% Tint

            what shire you from?, I have to let everyone know in Sydeny that there is only one official shire - 'the Sutherland Shire' - yep- we sure are one-eyed down this way !! welcome aboard mate...

              Please remove the dealer sticker from the rear window, the dealer number plate surrounds, and tint the tail lights.

              Other than that I reckon that you could be on the way to the new 'sandman' territory with that beast.

                Sic Caddy

                Nice purchase... A mate of mine's got a caddy TDi. Got some poke. He's getting it chipped soon so he's like a kid in a candy store. Have fun driving

                PS, nice liberty, so I take it the liberty will become the weekend car??
