Big up to you guys for a great forum with plenty of good info. As you can see, I'm from S.A and this is my ride:

A few changes have been made including a KN panel filter, decat stainless Powerflow exhaust as well as some aesthetics. Hope you find them pleasing...

      Welcome Jay
      Your Polo looks absolutely mint!

The colour coded white panels really set it off. As do the skirts and kit.

Hey guys. Thanks for the positive feedback. Nice to see an ex saffa here - although it was inevitable!

Here are some updated pics, post exhaust and custom spray work. FYI, it IS matte!!! Let me know what you think...

We South Africans LOVE our Volkswagens, because they are a part of our culture.
I had 2 new Jettas whilst living in Johannesburg, both were superb.
When I moved to America,I bought a new Jetta.
When I moved to Melbourne,I first had an Opel/Holden Astra, and finally a new Jetta.
My first car in SA was a Ford product.
In SA we had lots of BMWs,and now an assortment of Toyotas and Hondas...as well as VWs.

                Check out all the chinas!

Wow, Big South African presense. You guys probably know there's no local website that compares to this - it's all city golf this, 2l 8v that... nothing specically Polo. As for local mods and tuning, eish, nadda. Especially when it comes to a 1.6 8v lump. I'm not quite Gti yet, but I'd like to think we share a common purpose here!

P.s. Any feelings about the new model? Is it me, or is the Polo losing it's individuality? It looks more like a baby Golf 6...

Don't forget teh ZA !!! I am from Gangstas Paradise.

Funny when I was in S.A. All I used to want was an STI. Now I guess, I have become more refined like a fine wine HEHE.

My friend had a Polo 1.9 TDI 96 KW version when they first came out about 3 years ago or so and it used to rock my reason for wanting on here but we haven't got this version yet ?

Some of the others that we don't get here was the 330d that we used to have, now that's a diesel engine !!

In JooE it's all about the turbo's, NA's dont have much of a chance due to the altitude !

First thing I thought when we got to Oz and bought the GTi, was that most of the VW drivers here would be South African, because the Aussies tend to like their Holdens, and Saffas love their Dubs..

Welcome to the Forum.. We're originally from Joburg.. living on the Gold Coast for almost 2 years now.

Yeah if you are South african you would have owned a mk1/mk2/mk3 for sure.

Very smooth Polo bro! I dig the individuality.
