Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi all VW Newb

    Hi All.

Have spend the last few hours browsing your forums.
I am friends with user: cam0x over the past year or so he has indented his euro taste into me.

I am about to start looking at buying a car,
I currently own a EL Fairmont, but im trying to get rid of it.

After a tiny bit of research i like the look of the 1994 vr6.
I will prob have about 8-9k to spend.

im after something reliable, good daily, lowkms, not much work needed and lots of fun value.

Keep in mind i pretty much know next to nothing about dubs so bare with me for a while.

So i will be taking all the info from all of you guys and putting it to good use.

    Cheers!

        Welcome.

You should be able to pick up a decent Mk3 or Mk4 Golf in that price range.

Even an old Europen car is better than a new rice box or petrol guzzler.
