Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello

Hi im Gareth i moved here from the uk about 3 years ago i have been in to vws for about 10 years my boss at the time had a 12sec beetle i spent half my apprentice years working on it!
i was addicted to vw's after a weekend at bug jam 2001 watching a beetle from the line turn in to a little dot in the distance within 10sec that was it i had to get me a vw!
First was a 67 beetle then a polo classic, golf mk2 driver, my fave mk2 16v black 2 door avo coilovers heaps of other good bits.
While i have been down under i have owned a 68 bug which i clamed a trophy at the local german auto fest for best modified.
The beetle has now been sold and been replaced by a 2 door mk1 golf that i picked up a couple of months ago mods are well under way coilovers, bucket seats, wheels, 20vt beeing preped to be droped in in next couple of months.
Happy to find a good scene here its good to know there are other die hard dubbers here to!to should have got on here ages ago thanks Gaz

        Welcome Gaz!

And I gather you are none other than that bloke who I unintentionally pestered about the arrival of that part weekly for a fortnight, whilst your boss was overseas?

Cheers for the help, and look forward to seeing you around!
