Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Howdy - And seeking Mk3/4 - Perth

    Hi vww humans,
Been lurking for a little while. Always wanted a Mk2 GTi and a VR6. Havent had either up till now. First car was a 205GTI that copped an Mi16 on quads, had numerous 911s, a couple of 944 Turbos and have had pretty much all Japanese stuff for the last 10 years.
I really dig the UK VW scene and am now looking for a Mk3 or a Mk4. In Perth. Open to anything as long as its manual.

I love the stuff you guys turn out, and also your section in HPI.

What type of mods do you want to do to a mk3/mk4?

Yes I usually build Japanese stuff.
I'm just looking to build a smooth daily driver. Me being me I'm not wanting to buy something nice and slap some rims on it. So looking for something a little ratty I can mess with. I cant believe how Mk3 Pov Packs retain their value. Oh to be in the UK. A Mk4 GTi would be nice, but I'll just see what pops up at the right money.
