Ah very nice. What is unique about the CC? I thought they had a 6-speed.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I wish !
no mater how many times I jump from the r32 and into the vr6 and then get upto highway speeds and then try to select sixth...you can mod the gearbox to get another cog, but I guess you would really need a turbo to need six gears...
The Colour Concept, well it is just as it sounds, one of VW many marketing exercises to move Golfs...they came in many different engine types in Europe but out here in Australia we got the vr6 highline with colour matched interior.
Colours available are Jazz Blue, Salsa Green, Yellow, Flash Red and Diamond Black Pearl. I think we got about 100 units out here total imported...20 of each. In Perth I saw maybe 4 other yellow CCs, 1 Jazz blue and 1 Flash red, 1 Salsa green and well didn't see any Black CCs.
I think the only difference between the Colour Concepts and other vr6 golfs would be the colour coded leather interior and matching door cards, leather steering wheel and shifter...
I haven't seen too many other vr6s to be able to tell you anymore.1996 mkIII vr6 Colour Concept

Yeah the heated seats made it easy to talk my wife into getting more VWs later on...R32 has them, 2007 GTI has them too...don't know how I will go talking her into a Toureg R50
Her next car had to have heated seats !
Essential for those 4am drives to the airport when work decides you need to be in Melbourne for a meeting - you could just handle over the phone...1996 mkIII vr6 Colour Concept

It's a shame to see you've just moved FROM perth, another colour concept at cruises would have been a special sight indeed.1996 Golf VR6 Colour Concept Green

Yeah I know Jordan !
He is totally mad driving the wheels off his too slow, up on our tails during those toodyay cruises, he must really be enjoying vr6 ownership...need to crank up the old msn and reach out
Toodyay run was my make or break test to see if the vr6 could cope with another crossing or whether I should have transported it over by train...needless to say she was fun to drive and and I did the run up and back twice...
If I had more time before I had to leave Perth it would have been cool to do a cruise1996 mkIII vr6 Colour Concept
