Hi from a new Sydney resident

Hi everyone, I've just moved to Sydney from the UK.

Found the forum full of usefule advice so far, although I'm dismayed that buying a MkII Golf isn't going to be easy in Australia! I've owned many Golfs in the UK, and just didn't expect the older ones to be so scarce here.

So if anyone can offer more tips on the best way to pick one up, I'd be very grateful.

Welcome! You're best bet would be carsales.com.au or try ebay motors.

Or you can try some car yards, plenty in Parramatta or Ashfield/Burwood area.
