Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Newbie from the north..... of adelaide

    Hi guys, the name is Nate and i hail from the north of adelaide but in the good part... sort of. Anyway, Tomorrow morning i pick up a 2001 bora v6 awd, black with biege interior, 91000 on the clock. I am holden man and know alot about them, but now i own the vw which i do know much about and e30 coupe which i have slowly got to know it back to front, i one thing i know is that parts are expensive buit proberly the same with the bora. Now, the car is pretty clean but i have a little bit of warranty left on it, anything i should make sure they fix before it runs out. Does anybody go for cruise in adelaide, most of my mates only drive their work vans and utes and not interested to go on cruise, most of the time its me and whos ever trying to catch me on gorge rd.

          Congratulations with the BORA.
          I switched to a Jetta after owning an Astra,and there really is no comparisson,but in all fairness,there is a big price diffirence as well.
          But I am sure you will love the VW,most people on this forum are very passionate about their cars.
