G'day, first post. Just bought my first VW. It's a 2001 Golf Mk4 2.0 GLE model. Automatic + glass sunroof + central armrest + cruise control, silver in colour with 16" five spoke alloys wearing 205/55-16s.
I'm totally new to VW having never had anything by this manufacturer before, so I don't know very much at all, hence joining this forum. I hope this turns out to be the right place for an Australian owner of an Australian delivered car to learn a bit.
Most of my experience is with BMWs. I have three, so I'm not completely new to the German car ownership experience. Just new to VW.
I've bought this car second hand obviously, and as such it does have some minor little things I would like to fix. With BMW this is fairly easily accomplished via useful websites like realoem.com and CD-ROMs called ETK. I understand there is something similar for VW called ETKA. I guess first off, I need to lay my hands on one of these ETKA discs for identifying the part numbers relevent to my car.
Is there a free (downloadable) source for a VW ETKA disc image anyone knows about and is willing to share?
Also, is there an ETKA version that will work under Windows 2000?
Thanks for any help offered.
