Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey all,

Recently found this club/forum while searching for a local VW club over here in Aus. I have recently made the move over the ditch from New Zealand and used to frequent vask.org.nz a fair amount under the tag 1.8t

I am pretty much into all watercooled dubs, used to love mk2s but am starting to like the look of mk4s and some of the more recent generation Polos.

Dont have a car at the moment but in the pas have owned a mk3 jetta/vento and more recently a pug 306.

Just finished my degree back in Auckland and am here to see what its like living over here. Am pretty keen on a job in the auto industry, maybe at a dealership or similar so if anybody knows of any roles going let me know

here are some pics from a few of my fav local cars in NZ..

      Cheers!

Currently staying with some friends in South Yarra which I am loving, but I dont think I can afford somewhere around here just yet... I am going to be looking for a flat soon. Happy to work anywhere I can get to via public transport at the moment.

Yea the RS6 is a awesome car, has a few mods too from memory too. That was a nice drive that day.
