  • NSW Hi! - 2002 T4 2.5TDI

Hello to the VW Watercooled forum! I'm Jake, and I own this 2002 T4 SWB Transporter TDI300 in 'Reflex Silver' with the ACV 2.5TDI motor. That makes it sound like a collector's item, but "Gaddafi" has had a life no less strenuous than a lowly 1.9 panel van owned by an old-school painter. 3 out of the 5 panels have been resprayed (poorly), it's done 450,000 kilometres since it rolled off the line in Hanover 23 years ago, there are more dents than on a tin roof after a hailstorm, the ride is as rough as old boots...and I love it. And since its fiscal value is nought, Gaddafi will stay with me until it dies...which on the unbreakable 2.5TDI ACV means...never. Bugger. Twenty-three and barely broken in? If only VAG made vehicles to such a standard today.

Thanks for reading. My love for the T4 is unwavering.

I have owned my '01 2.5 TDI Trakka since around '08 & hope to own it until the end of my life. I, like you, am in love with mine & hope to put it on club rego. in a couple of years. I have just been away on holidays to K.I. & could do with a bit more power & a slightly smoother ride but overall I am very pleased with it.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.
