Forum only readable to users

The server is being hammered again by crawlers, we are seeing tens of thousands of "users" online. Rather than give up and take the whole thing offline, I've switched it over so users must be logged in to even read the forum. I've also removed the ads completely once you're logged in since they are now basically worthless and annoying.

It's not ideal, but it keeps things online for now until I work out a better approach.

    Hi all,

    I have a mk5 GTI for over 7+ years. Have a bigger family now so looking at upgrading to a sporty wagon. Never had a 4WD before so leaning towards a golf r. Might consider an Octavia rs, so interested in people's thoughts on how they compare.

    Golf R wagon / Passat R-line 206tsi are really good options. I haven't heard much from people with the Octavia RS'. I believe Skoda makes the 206kw on some Superb's too so they may be worth checking out.
    I have a Passat and cant be happier
    Personally the slightly more spacious Passat is better than the golf R wagon
