Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Good to Find an Oz VW Forum

    Hi all
I live in hilly country in the bush on unsealed roads and have to do a fair bit of vehicle maintenance myself.
I bought my 2007 MkV TDI Golf at auction a few years ago as a backup vehicle for my Forester. I've been having to use it for the current year and it has been brilliant.
Despite some pretty shocking roads with this year's rain it keeps on going - however, I fear the suspension has been taking a battering and will need attention before long .
Immediate job today is to pull the starter motor and likely replace.

    Hi Geoff
Welcome aboard. I spent a lot of time and money on our MY12 Subaru Forester SH XTP only to have it rejected by the Boss.

Who now drives our MY20 Golf R Wagon at will. Life is full of surprises.

    Cheers Al
