New to the Vw water cooled forum but not vw’s
I’ve been lucky to own 6 beetles and a kombi in my time and although my love for the look and history of the aircooled world I find myself wanting a Golf.
So the decision to part with my 68 bug and purchase a MK1 cabriolet (as my first choice. not to everyone’s taste I know) or any MK1- MK2 Golf as a “drivable” project.
I feel for my area and what I use car for it’s the right way.
I would keep fairly stock maybe few correct era mods to go with it. Just want build the car I would have as a 20 year old when I started wanting them.
I would like use the forum for help finding my new car and to help with information i know I lack on the Golfs. Feel free to send me your thought on best obtainable project cars..
