Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for having me and apologies in advance of all the questions without being able to offer any help in return....yet

I'm intently looking at a T6.1 Multivan Highline 4Motion. Talking to dealers, is is true there is no budging on price. Is this an Australian wide phenomena. Any suggestions on dealers who may offer some negotiating, even if its on accessories?

    Keep safe everyone

With all the shortages due to COVID etc, yes there are very few, if any discounts.

Why would they when they have a 4-6 month waiting list and some are selling their new cars for substantially over list price

Plenty of accessories on 2nd tier sites for a lot less than dealer retail.

Can import stuff from Europe for 65% of dealer price , including expensive Fedex
