I'm from Townsville; now living in Sydney 40+ years. I play drums. First car I drove from Townsville to Brisbane was a splitscreen Kombi. In Sydney I went with my brother to buy a Type III wagon. He loves VeeDubs (has a Karman Ghia) declared it to be a good car. I found a receipt in the glove box for a new Repco replacement engine - it purred. Owned a Miami Blue Passat in the 80's - great machine. Now back in the VW fold with a MK7 Golf wagon. It's so good to be back!

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
