2006 Multivan Drivers door not locking and unlocking

Hi Everyone, this is my first post. I have a 2006 VW Multivan and the drivers door is not working with the central locking. It works with the key however.
I have replaced the Locking mechanism inside the door but still not working. Has anyone had this problem ? and happy for any suggestions/solutions.
