Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi there,

    Currently driving a 2014 Tiguan Pacific TDI. Great car that gets around well. Now if only the GPS maps were updated more frequently

    Hello and they are every 6 months if you have one of the newer units from Discover media forwards. The old RNS 510 maps are no more

      Hi James and welcome!

      Quite a few people will upgrade the head unit to the latest revision RCD330 which runs Apple CarPlay / Android Auto. Then you don't have to worry about keeping your maps up to date as it's done by the individual apps
