Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yes it will but what size is your van, How heavy (ATM) is it and whats the ball weight.
Jayco vans go from 12ft to over 25ft and weights from 800kg to over 2700kg so saying it tows a Jayco doesnt say much in the way of helpful information

Anyway going back to the origins of your post, seems to be alot of cars with sunroof issues might be worth thinking twice about, I love the panoramic roofs and have had in the past most recently in an A4 wagon without issues but seems to be heaps of guys having issues with the tiguans sunroofs.

The new tiguans are awesome cars though and the 162tsi is very tunable if you after more power, good luck with your new car purchase

But too late for that now lol.

I'll have to look into the sunroof issues, but also I was specifically looking for one that had the sunroof.

If I had the choice I'd probably gamble and risk it too, I got mine as a demo and it didn't have one also ended up putting a roof rack on it so I won't need to worry bout it

We'll see how it goes in 12-18 months, I'll be sure to let everyone know if there's any issues but on a side note what a car to drive. Big upgrade coming from a Holden Cruze.

I was one click away from pre ordering a t-roc but so glad I didn't

One other thing I'd mention is rims not sure whether you went with rline and 20 inch suzukas, I took them off and put 18s on it with all terrains and its so much more practical I can bounce up and down curbs and off road ability vastly improved, I do t think I'd put 20s back on now, food for thought

I certainly did get the r line with the 20s, I've been cautious with my driving but where I'm from all the roads are decent but if I did decide to go off road I'd definitely change them up
