Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey there,

Long time reader (of gen 2 Tiguan section) first time poster.

Thought I'd just post in here so I can finally start contributing the Tiguan forums

Well I bought my Black 162tsi highline Tiguan with all the options + r line package in January 2018.

It's been left relatively stock for a while all I've done to it is removed snow grate, put in a drop in filter, Attached the golf GTE blank off plate on the driver side of the intake and dremelled out the passenger side of the intake for the double airflow to replicate what aftermarket companies do.

Other than that she is stock as a rock and look forward to modding her in the very near future.

Since owning, I've only clocked up 20k so it still feels brand new.

Looking at purchasing bolt one soon just the common stuff like the 90 degree turbo inlet, muffler delete, silicone hose etc before finally moving onto a stage 2 tune either through Revo or APR, leaning more towards Revo as it's cheaper and my local euro mechanic deals with Revo.

So that's a bit about my car. Look forward to being able to interact with you all on the forums now.

    Regards,

    Mick.
