Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • MY19.5 vs MY19 Tiguan Allspace TSI162

    Hi all,

New member here and look forward to spending my time here.

I have almost signed a contract for brand new Tiguan Allspace highline which is expected in the country end of May.

Then upon checking the dealer mentioned this is MY19 and MY19.5 will be in production from July onwards.

Should I be worried that I am buying MY19 and not MY19.5? I have read people already taking delivery of their MY19.5 so not sure what's correct.

Appreciate any advice and thanks in advance.

Seriously though if the car is getting manufactured now (2019 build) it should be a MY19.5 spec.

The factory changes over in a month or so to MY20 spec which will start arriving in late August/September.

Usually there will be a minor spec change with the 0.5 update (realignment with market) and a larger spec change with the main MY change.

There will be a facelift coming through too but this likely won’t be for 12-18 months.

Does anyone know where you find the different between the MY models?

I'm trying to find what changed between MY19 and MY19.5. If you ask the dealership they just give you a dismissive answer "oh nothing changed mate, they are the same" I'm sure they would care too if it was their money being spent.

Hi, just revisiting this old thread. I'm currently in the market for a 19 Tiguan Allspace. Is anybody able to confirm the difference between the MY19 and MY19.5? Thanks
