    Hey new guy here,

Currently driving a Q7 but looking to get a Tiguan.

Love to tinker, done plenty of retrofits to the Q7 over the years and cant help my self so no doubt ill be getting a base model and chopping and changing before i know it.

Just something to keep in mind that there is quite a big difference in the 132TSI and 162TSI engines.

If you're looking at any performance modifications you'll want to get the 162TSI as there's a wide range of parts available for these engines. It is the same engine used in Mk7 GTI and also a lot of Mk7 R parts will also fit so you can pretty much go to the parts catalog and go nuts.

The 132TSI is very much the poor cousin. There's only a JB4 tuning box you can get. People buy the 132TSI because it's the sensible choice and that's about where it ends.
