Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Just about to make an offer on a 2011 V6 Passat Wagon so figured I'd join up.

I come from an extensive Mazda background, having owned a number of them including RX7s and an RX8, but very excited at the prospect of getting into a European car with great performance and modern technology.

    Hi and welcome!

The V6 Passat wagon is a nice car, though doesn't have quite the cult following as the R36 wagon.

I'm very thankful for that as the price was much better for this car

Yes agreed 100%. The newer V6 is pretty good value second-hand. I’m not sure why everyone wants the older car...
