        I know a couple of people that have had these and when they're going they're a great little motor. Heaps of pull from low down from the supercharger and a reasonable top end. It's just a pity that the reliability wasn't there to match.

        Good thing is that VW appears to be coming to the party these days with outside warranty repairs. I'd just be making sure that the service history is squeaky clean (serviced either by km or time) and that you get it checked ASAP if it ever starts to play up. If you catch it early you could avoid a lengthy period off the road.
