I just recently purchased a 2006 Mk5 Golf GTI and I love it to death!

thanks for that mischa. i'll check out the meets page in a sec. i'm quite happy with my car and don't plan on any mods at this stage. although i've seen on the internet on some bodykits, they're pretty hot. thinking of getting 18s r32 replica rims. other than that, that's pretty much it.

i've got a GT diesel but yes... many mods planned and a few already done

most common and best bang for buck mod on your gti is to have it "chipped" (ie its computer remapped). for about 1500$ power goes from 147kw to about 190kw.

going to have a custom tune done when i've got a full turbo back exhaust, bigger intercooler and new turbo intake pipe

Thanks Mrk_Mickey. This car is what I've wanted for a while and I've finally got it. Couldn't afford to get a R32 Mk6 but the Golf GTI is still a really good car.

The mod bug ay? Only if I ever get the money for it.

Did you chip your car? I think I'll be scared if my car ended up being 190kw. I'm used to 147kw power from when I used to own a Nissan 200sx S15. But we'll see maybe one day I'd love to have more power!!! hehe.
