Hi everyone. I am expecting delivery of a new Golf Alltrack 135TDI, white, with Sports Luxury package in mid-July 2018. Ordered thru Gorell's in Geelong, who have been quite helpful as I wanted the 18" wheels replaced with the standard Alltrack's 17" wheels to soften the ride a bit, as I live on a dirt road in country Victoria. No other dealer seemed too interested in helping out with the wheels. This car will replace my my2017 Tiguan 110TDI Comfortline, which is a great car, but a bit slower and harder riding than I like. I will miss the 360 degree camera, cross-traffic alerts, and 4-way adjustable headrests not available on the Alltrack.
My wife is on her third (!) GTI, starting with a MkV, then MkV1, now a MkV11 GTI 40-year edition, which she absolutely loves. She wasn't amused when I accidentally put 7 litres of diesel fuel into it a few weeks ago. After consulting my son, who knows about such things, we continued to drive the car, gently, for about 600km, filling it up every 100kms or so. No ill effects so far, which is about 1200km after the event.
