Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD Newbie to Golf

    G’day all,

    Old hoon here, driven early bugs years ago and have hot rods in the garage.

    I needed a daily that got good economy, so the Golf ticked all the boxes.

    i am now the happy owner of a black 2013 Highline TDi, DSG, of course I was never going to get a stocker, so mine was purchased with the following mods:

    APR stage 1 tune
    DSG tune
    Eibach lowered springs
    18” GTi Detroit rims
    cat back exhaust
    debadged

    wouldnt mind a nice CAI to get some induction noise and I think I’ll be happy with that.

    PS. If anyone has a spare 2013 owners manual, let me know, mines missing.

    Nice car indeed the torque curve of a tuned tdi has to be experienced to be believed

      Sadly cheap Chinese tyres mean wheel spin before axle tramp, another thing to sort out soon
