NSW New User looking for Golf/Polo advice

Hi guys,

Looking to buy my 2nd car, coming from a honda civic and really like the look of golf/polo's and was wondering if i could get some advice on what to buy. Budget is $15000 and i'll need an auto. What models should i look for and what should i avoid in terms of reliability or models with known faults? Not really after speed/performance as much as i am as something reliable and leather seats would be good if i could get it too.

Read through the threads in the Forum and you will soon find out the good and the bad. Be aware that a VW car "Auto" is NOT a conventional type auto. It is a manual box with two seperate electronically operated clutches and needs to be treated more like a manual box.
Eg No holding on the throttle on hills Dont creep it in traffic with a foot on the brake as well.

Whilst I have had a good run with mine my next car would probably not be a VW.
