Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SA 2013 cc leds

Hi, I am an owner of a 2013 my14 V6 that has ever thing that opens and shuts on it and still learning with all the gadgets.
I have recently found that I have 2 leds out in the RH side boot lens and it is a pain that I know they are out.
On closely looking it seems that the leds in the whole lens are in blocks of 2.
Could it be that they have a bad earth?? as I have been told that leds have a life time warranty and I reackon I would have a hard time convincing VW Aust if that is the case. The cars New warranty has finished so thats out.
If the boot lenses come out easily then I will tackle it myself, as Im sure that as I stated that its a bad earth on that block.

Any suggestions would be greatly recieved
    Thank You
