Hi, I have just bought a 2010 Highline TDI. I love it. Much superior in all respects to the 2004 318i it replaced. Cheers

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thank you tigger73, is that your blue scirocco? Mine is blue charcoal. Was after dark grey but the blue is a better choice I think. I have been trying to get the bluetooth operational with no luck. I have tried to find the module as well but can't. Have looked in the Mk5 section relating to BT but also no luck. My passenger seat has the plastic container drawer an no BT under. Can you suggest a good term for searching?

Yes I have a rising blue Scirocco and my wife drives a grey Tiguan.
If the BT unit isn’t under the drivers seat then more than likely it’s hiding in the dash under the head unit.
Suggest pulling the head unit out if you’re sure it has BT. I’m pretty sure it would still have been an option in 2010 so it may not have it.
If you don’t have a phone menu in the dash then you won’t have a BT unit even though there will be a button for it on the steering wheel.
