I recently purchased a 2014 mk7 Golf GTI Performance Pack, DSG, in carbon steel - having a great time with it so far! Love the VAQ diff, engine, etc.
One issue I had was front suspension making noises over bumps - 2 trips to dealers didn't fix it, but a quick spray with WD-40 to the lower control arm rear bushings completely eliminated the noise. Hopefully that will help someone with similar issues.
The car just ran out of warranty, may look into a tune, but will keep it mostly stock as it seems setup very well from factory.
Does anyone have the service schedule for Australia? In particular the DSG, and VAQ diff oil replacement km's etc.
