Hi Paul and Khaotic, I have already paid for my ticket but I’ve just realised that I will be officiating down the Gold Coast that weekend for Supercars and I will not be able to do the track session and then make it down the coast on time for my officiating duties on Sunday morning. I am happy to sell my ticket to Khaotic if that is ok with you Paul?

So guys and gals not long to go now.

-See you all there Sunday 7am at Qld Raceway.
-We will assemble beside the café and left of the control tower.
-Remember to check tyre pressures, radiator and oil before coming out.
-Forecast is for a shower or 2 so hopefully a dry run.
-Also you can buy a passenger ticket on the day for $20 each and please have correct money.

      Thanks
      Paul

Probably silly question - but do these events still run if it's pouring rain?
A proper track day, I can understand, racers would have specific wet-weather tyres, but for Happy Laps, where we are just "driving normal street cars" on normal street tyres, do they still operate?
I can foresee several cars meeting concrete walls and sand traps....

Happy laps will run on a wet track as long as there is not standing water on track. Tomorrow morning forecast is for showers so I think we will be ok. If the track is wet remember to slow down and drive to the conditions. We have had several happy laps in the wet and everyone had a great time without incident.

The walls and sand traps are far enough away from the track that the only way that such meetings shall occur is if people attempt to break the lap record without taking the conditions into account.

Exactly. We’re at QR not Lakeside so there’s more run off. I suspect that if people start using the run off, the session will get red flagged!

Please remember: The idea of happy laps is no one should be driving to exceed the car and track limits. If anyone goes off track the session is likely to be red flagged and that mean that's it. This situation robs the rest of us paid track time. Anyone that's put the group in this situation I will be barred from all future events. So please don't be "that guy or girl".

Hey Paul, I'm going to have to pull out for tomorrow unfortunately. Just found a engine mount that does want to live anymore and don't want to destroy the other 2.

Not worried about money, $40 is cheaper than doing any damage.

                    Thanks
