Sydney Next GTG - Just a feeler

Righto all after some popular demands of 3 people so far you know who you are, I thought I might put it out there to the people of VW land for a next cruise and this time people thinking a drive with BBQ in mind.

Possible destinations being:

National Park run
Wisemans Ferry run

Both places we can get a BBQ going or plenty of food to get in these places!

Possible dates are 21-22 June or 28-29 June you decide.

What does everyone think?

my suggestion:

down the m5 to robertson, take kanga valley (best driving road around sydney imo) down to the coast, have bbq at wollongong and take the royal national back up. for those that like the national park, kanga valley is similar but so much better.

oh and if someone would be so kind to offer a lift as i wont have my licence then :'(

Kangaroo Valley sounds good too. Never been through there before.

We could go down the Hume off through Moss vale and down into Kangaroo Valley . Either have lunch at Kangaroo Valley or head off down the mountain into Berry for lunch, couple of good pubs available.

If Berry is the option just need to make it not on the first Sunday of the month as it's the local fair day and you can't even move in the place.

After lunch head north up the highway up along Kiama bends(very nice long sweeping twisties) at which point we could go up through jambaroo or keep heading north and go up mt keira the later puts you onto picton rd after some awesome scenery and good roads for an easy trip home for you sydney guys. Can check up what options we would have if Jambaroo was the option, but it is a lovely place beautiful scenery.

Also need to check how long the drive would be.

I think we should make it the 21-22nd June as Vortex are organising a day for that, and I guess don't want to collide or anything like that?

eek, as i said to steve i posted on vortex first then popped onto here to upload pics from nats etc and didnt realise lol.

the kanga valley run ppl are welcome to come, its bout 4-5 hour run in total with limited stops (inc food)

wisemans ferry is a good run, however during the day you may find a lot of people around but never the less a good run! id come to both providing im off from work

oh damn! i was hoping that the majority would have voted for the 28th of June!! I always have Saturdays off work (unfortunately have work on Sundays..) I should have my MKV GTI by then as well ... oh well looks like i'll have to wait for another GTG

Haha OMG Lora all this cause of your suggestion and then you can't come lol. The vortex is doing a cruise that weekend I'm happy to do it either weekend if they are going to be on the same weekend just thinking if all to go together or go in the opposite direction

Joined or not with vortex does it really matter, the more cars the merrier i suppose... LOL i just hope if a poll is done that it falls on the date i'm free oops
