I own both a Renault Megane 265 and a VW golf 7 comfortline (daily). Can I bring my Renault to this event? I usually head to QR for the Renault club events but I live in Strathpine and Lakeside is so much closer for me.

i dont see why not.

i have done a few at QR with renault club too and the vwwatercooled is more streamlined in terms of cars type participating.

you dont see a pre 1980 car like at the renault one (they went gentle and could cause traffic at lakeside, not so bad at qr as there are more overtaking areas. nonetheless it was pleasant to see a classic volvo last weekend on the track).
