Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW Harry's Cafe De Wheels - Liverpool. Possible recurring event for Sydney! :D

    VAG or VAG-appreciators need only apply.
    Last week I organised one, and apparently it went well! (I couldn't make it )
    So I decided to organise one I'm actually going to come to!

    Come one come all, if we get enough interest we'll make it a permanent fixture of the Sydney VAG scene!

    I attended the meet at Harry's on Saturday night, accompanied by my partner (in the R34 GT-R) and our mate (R33 GT-R). We really enjoyed meeting everyone, however, after seeing the Facebook page for this event I didn't realise having the Skylines there was going to cause a problem...?

      Most people who will come will have VAG vehicles, as I'm sure you would have noticed...

      Not an issue, just a statement that says "expect to be surrounded by VAG"

      As far as the HWP-fodder goes, the other side of the complex is always inhabited by the local skylines, commodores, hondas, etc etc, so as long as you do the right thing, they'll cop all the unwanted attention and we'll be fine.

        Awesome! I just wanted to clarify, that's all. I know it's a little odd for the GT-R's to tag along with a group of VAG cars, but their owners are also interested in the VAG/Euro scene and can't stand the attitude (of the majority) of the Import/JDM crowd. The typical Skyline owners are a bunch of drop-kicks with beat up cars... We actually like taking care of our cars! So it's a really good opportunity for us to go out and meet new, like-minded people

        We've been to KK a lot and seen the sort of nonsense that goes on there, so trust me, we don't want to be a part of that!

          It was cool hanging with you guys at/after the first Harry's meet. All three of you love your cars and have kept them absolutely mint. I know that's the type of car enthusiast I want to be associated with!

          And I'm sure that any VAG owners will be able to appreciate those GT-Rs. I know we were all drooling over them at the last meet

              I'm not a big JDM guy, but can definitely appreciate something when its done right.

                  Hahaha, thanks man! Your car was looking mighty fine that night! It was great being able to meet/hang out with you and the other guys too! I've been editing the photos from Olympic Park, so I'll have to pass them on to you, Tom and Elias once I'm done

                  I will probably have to give tonight a miss (plus the weather is looking gross), but I'll aim to be at the next one - hopefully it'll be on a weekend instead
