Next BNE event: Sunshine Coast run

Hey, I'm going to meet u all at 8:30 @ Aspley, but I'm going to head up straight away, so about 30 minutes ahead of the bunch, so that I can drop some stuff at my sister's place before we get to the twisty bits. She lives at Landsborough, so I'll wait for the group where the route turns off Steve Irwin Way.

Thought I'd just say before I have to go out again that today went pretty well. Even though we had some road works and traffic as well as the group getting split up a few times, the drive was still fun.
Thanks to Jon for organising the trip. It was good to see everybody again and meet a few new faces.
I think we disrupted traffic flow successfully in a few Sunshine Coast Hinterland locations as well as Mooloolaba and surrounding coastal towns.

Sunshine Coast Run

Hi all,

Here are a couple of teaser pics of todays run. My young son counted 22 cars at Aspley and I think we picked up a couple more along the way.

Despite my MKIV 1.6 acting as a moving road block (sorry guys I was pedalling as fast as I could ) I belive the day went really well. Thanks to Jon for organising it.

It is a good sign when my wife suggests we need to get a GTi

Thanks Jon for organising the cruise - it's nice to actually take a drive on a new road that hasnt been used in a cruise yet.

It was a nice turnout today people and it was nice to meet some old faces and some new faces. It's a pity that we didnt all stick together for lunch.

Regardless, it was a fun day, and it was definately made fun because of the company.

Look forward to see people posting up more piccies or videos!

Sorry guys that I had to leave so soon into the cruise but had to detail a customers car that I could not get out of today. Thanks for my mini cruise and the new windscreen goes in on Tuesday morning. Great to see some regular faces and some new ones as well. Lets not leave the next cruise so long apart. drive felt surprisingly short despite the fact it went for a few hours! I guess GTI is like a drug, I want to do more of it now

Ended up driving back to Brisbane playing with a BMW 335i most of the way... and got home over 20 minutes earlier than estimated by the GPS hehehe

Next time we should do a proper photo shoot as well, as some of you guys had some pro-looking cameras. We also need better instructions and A LOT MORE walkie-talkies + phone numbers to avoid the getting lost part...
