Brisbane Dyno Day Results

good write-up there sharkie, really puts it in perspective for those in the Polo's. FYI, yes i do have a standard intake and the tyres wrapped over my wheels are 204/40 R17.
i went to the dyno day with an aim of approx 125kW at the fronts so i was not overly dissapointed with 122.2kW. as you said, there does seem to be that defecit with the Polo's so a dyno run elsewhere might be a good move in the near future, hopefully to prove that point.

Here is my dyno result, Interesting to see how my power plateau at its peak and holds.
Especially compared to Guy's run.

Just to complicate things further, I think that the larger the rim the more energy is required to turn it due to the complexities of centrifugal force the mass of the wheel is further from the centre.
This could be why switching to 17's lowers the ATW figure.
Or it could be complete BS, let me know?2003 Bora Motion - Black Magic - Still Daily

no i could definitely see how that works. but for me, unlike some (more unlike alot), like aesthetics as much as performance.....so the 17's stay !!

And here's mine APR chip, downpipe, TIP and engine mount...
Less power low down, drop off at the top. Only thing that's better is the smoothness.FOR SALE

is it the upgraded intake and dump that helps the smoothness through the range? it has to be.
comparing our air-fuel ratio, you are getting a lot more through than me, almost seems as though mine is struggling a bit. it's nice and smooth down low, but when the revs get up, it gets really distorted.

anybody know when the next vw SEQ meet up or event is?
maybe a brissy to goldy run (or vice versa) with a lunch somewhere (mount tamborine?) could be on the tables for sometime in the near future. would be good to get a few together for a big more of a meet and greet and a photo shoot.
