Tosspot made 120.9 with APR chip and new APR Downpipe and Forge TIP.
Please explain...
[-Polo GTI-]: 30000kms on the clock
tosspot: 4200kms on the clock
A few people mentioned that my car is still new so won't be putting out as much power as it could. Also, the guy on the dyno stuffed up I think.. my 2nd run only pulled 106kw... wtf?
I'm slightly annoyed that I pulled less, let's hope it is because my car's new.
I also noticed the one with the K04 only made 139 Flaps made 140 and GT3 made 144 with the stock turbos
steve u cant compare to different dynos from different days what is one positive to come outa today is it was all same dyno same day and bout the same temps so we all had a standard comparo

True jasn I just thought that it was a little weird thats all I thought that would have been some nice numbers.
steve look at it this way, look at my run 88kw and then the differences between the others. I am pretty much stock and say eddy with his 131 is a 43 kw increase over stock.
And to me thats what counts

thanks for a fun day! Was only able to attend the last half, but was very worthwhile. As previously mentioned, nice to put a face to a few of the characters on here.
Dyno days are ALWAYS contentious. By the time you factor in all the things that can vary between cars, how heatsoaked they are, exactly where the inlet temp correction probe is placed, are they run on the "choke" or warmup cycle, or even if they are low on petrol ( which pulls kw in some cars ), you've already a plethora of variables. Then factor in roller slippage and even exactly how tight the car is pulled down ( makes an amazing difference ) and you're well and truely buggered.
All you can really do is compare your car, at similar temps, on similar days, on the same dyno with the same operator.
You guys are right in that the HSV "seems" low, but coming from a V8 background, heatsoak is an absolute nightmare with the big lump of metal an eight is, and I'd love to see the inlet temps, or just feel how hot the induction was. They certainly remain hot for a LOT longer than a 4 pot.
