Why race on the streets when you can do it safely at WSID?
you said if the cops had closed it down people would have been pissed.

cause we all dont have alot of money to go to the track like others.

oh and both cars were on giac god damn street racers..
Seems to me from reading the comments and seeing the pics seems that some people just don't get it. These are the same people that scream loudest when the cops take a stand against hoons......they spoil it for all car enthusiasts and taint all our names. In your own words they were racing on a public street, haven't you been reading the papers or watching the news lately?

The picture and comments tell a story and it is a story that I'm sure the majority on this forum do not wish to be a part of.

      Cheers

Other then that was a good day, some interesting runs. I'll echo Bruno's comments re Sean's car, hope it gets sorted for the weekend.

I'd like you now to point out where I said cops, pigs or police in my post? For all you know Todd could have told us all to piss off, just such a stupid thing to do.

So were they GIAC'd cars with towbars?

You have the money to GIAC your car but not to run it at WSID?

we werent the only 1's thrashing it on that street.

the driver of that white Sti was hammereing it up and down. their brakes were smoking up from those runs..

no but if you do it on the streets you take the risk with it, and as if almost everyone here has never done it, either yesterday or 20-years ago

You were racing each other. You know you guys did something wrong yet I can't believe how you're now trying to justify what you did. Whilst yes I have good thrash every now and then along some twisty roads, I'd never race someone on a public road. I'm not going to keep on about it, it was stupid we all know it was and it would be great if you remembered it for the next time we try and use the dyno.

What a load of rubbish - You have no idea what you're talking about.

Speeding is also counted as 'hoon behaviour'

you can do that on the tracks aswell..

lol excuse me? I didn't know we were all experts in the law and know what the cops can and can't do. As I've said, I said nothing in my original post about the cops being the ones to close it down.

This thread back on topic now or it is closed, we don't need rubbish like this here.

Their is no way you can justify street racing at all, just because the white STI was speeding doesn't mean you can, just because its a quiet road doesn't mean its ok, quiet roads are where kids go to ride bikes.... it is illegal for a reason.

                              Back on topic now.....

and now back on topic, the mk2 gti who went on final got a whopping 69kw @ the front wheels. not to bad actually in consideration!

the m3 stock at 187 .. which is a lot more then i thought it'd have, cant wait to see when its finished or the other m3 that didnt make it (engine rebuild)
