Huge VW Event over Easter in Sydney

Is anyone going to the BUG-IN in Sydney over Easter. It's a bit late for me to leave from Perth (seeings it starts tomorrow), but I heard it gonna be huge. Here's a link.

Yep it's here!! Still taking entries for the Motorkhana & dirt circuit, the Lap Dash is getting a little full, so get there early if you want to enter on the day.

Racetrack was good, a few golfs and some beetles doing hot laps.

Talked to a family race team from Adelaide with their imported Mk3 16v Rally car. They were all haveing a go, Dad, Mum and Daughter.

Skid Pan was good too, handbrake action.

Muddy slalom course was the best. Blue Mk1 5 door was the muddiest front wheel drive.

I also saw Ian and Chris in their Mk1 GTI, but didnt get close enough to say hi.

Got a couple of bargains at the swopmeet, good to meet some interstaters.

Those that didn`t go you missed the last VW even at Oran Park, its suppossed to close next year.

Yep, you missed out on a good one Ray...

All the motorsport action ran well, with everyone getting plenty of runs & having a good time. No major offs, but a fair few spins through the day.

The Victorian crew did a great job with the show, top effort guys!
The pit area looked fairly full with all the cars, swappers & trade stands.

Also a big thumbs up to all the organisers, timers & helpers who made the day run on time & to plan.

If you didnt go, you missed a top event(despite the ordinary weather) & if you did, hope you had enough VDub action!

I believe they're relocating it (same track design but different venue).

I havent been there for a year or so now, but even then houses were nearing its borders. Who would let people build right next to a race track is beyond me.
